Welcome to Horsmonden Twilite
Horsmonden Twilite was formed in October 2008 by a collection of like-minded ladies who wanted to create a place for friendship, fun and support in their community. They were encouraged by a team of Advisers from the local WI federation to form a new evening WI in the village, and build on the forward-looking attitude of the Institute.
We meet 8pm at the Horsmonden Social Club every 2nd Wednesday of the month unless stated otherwise on our Calendar. The Club provides us with a bar for the duration of our Meetings.
Since 2008 Horsmonden TWILite, amongst other things, have been Belly-dancing, Bell-ringing, Cocktail-tasting, Curling, Triathlon-achieving, Morris Dancing, Swishing, Pilates exercising & BBq-ing.
We’ve listened to Graphologists, Historians, Therapists, JPs, Cooks & even Celebrity Horticulturists.
We have produced Jam for our monthly Bring & Buy but we have also traded books, Cds & Jewellery
We don’t sing Jerusalem at every meeting but one of our Members has recorded it at Abbey Road Studios with The Harmonies.
However, no naked calendars…………............yet!!!
We endeavour to offer a diverse range of talks & activities to a diverse range of members but withthe emphasis definitely on having fun.
New members & neighbouring WI members alike are always welcome and, indeed, encouraged to visit.
